1st Summer Festival Today:

With the Mainframe for this Motorblog based in America, this post might be dated Tuesday. But as I am writing it early AM on the 30th, I can say that Motorhead's first summer festival gig of the year takes place today in Switzerland - see Fanzine #93 or for full details. There are a few more in the early part of June before the band's American tour.

Murder In The Village:

Is now bubbling under at # 11, although it enjoyed 3 weeks in the top 10, and I am so grateful for that. Let's hope that it goes back in again. Quite some feat considering Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes) and GK Chesterton (Father Brown) are at # 1 and # 2 most of the time.

My MOTORHEAD  'Live To Win' book, which is being published by Cleopatra Records in LA, will be another 4 to 6 weeks whilst it is printed in Hong Kong, and then shipped back to the States. Last I heard there will be a Limited Edition vinyl picture disc with the first 3,000 copies. Expect publication September / October time.

Sons Of Anarchy

This was / is a TV series which I originally took little notice of. But our son Steve got into it through a friend loaning him the Series 1 DVD box set around Xmas time. Since then, he hasn't shut the f**k up about it, and kept showing me 'Sons Of Anarchy' T-shirts, memorabilia and suchlike, on EBay, so Mrs. B and I relented, (being as there's so much crap on TV, anyway), to watch the first 4 episodes of Season 1. By now, you'll gather that Steve has bought the DVD's of Seasons 1 to 4.
Well, as Motorhead fans, we are almost by default bikers, bike fans, biker lifestyle fans, looking to ride the open highway when we retire; or whatever. So this series of DVD's is like a 'must-see,' if you like, and now I'm here scratching my head wondering why it took Steve's unrelenting dogged persistance to get us to sit and watch a darned good, if not knockout TV series.
It's brilliant!
Great acting, great characters, great stories, and I heartily recommend it.

Motorhead - The World Is Ours Volume 2

Thrilled as we still are with Volume 1, I understand that Volume 2 will be released to tie-in with the UK tour in November.
