Looking For Australia 2011 Footage: And found this -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Duu5u2NQ3jc
Missed Blogging Yesterday: No, not spent on Facebook, but must say it is better and less time consuming than first thought. Great in that contact is there with so many MHB's, the best aspect. But they had my email address anyway, so? But guess Facebook is trendy, so unusually, Mr. black jeans, black shirt, black underpants, denim jacket, long-haired, almost 60, oldest swinger in town must now be trendy.

Facebook: Is quite something. I've not spent too much time on it yet, busy, buy, busy. Great getting messages from so many MHB's, though, thanks.

Facebook: 84 emails this morning. What have I done? If it is as time-consuming as some are saying it won't be lasting long.
Not clued up on what I am doing, so please be patient.
Very busy until mid-next week getting your fanzines posted out, so don't expect miracles.

Facebook: Son, Steve, wanted to join Facebook. But he doesn't have an email address and used mine. Wow! Quite a few of you are waiting for me to join.
Now, just how time consuming is it?
When some friends visited a while back, they gave the impression they spent every minute of their spare time on it.
They also said it was a bit like dogging with pictures, as they'd had some bloke after a threesome.
Okay, I write fiction and enjoy doing so despite achieving minimal success. But the stories are in there and I would feel unfulfilled if I didn't write them.
So, how time consuming is Facebook?
I need time to write.
Most of the Faces know my email address as that's the reason they're on the list.
Can anyone say?
I have the website and email, won't that do?

RIP Jet Harris: The Shadows bass player until 1962, he left them at the height of their fame to achieve the first bass guitar driven hits in the UK charts with 'Diamonds' and 'Applejack' with drummer, Tony Meehan.
At a 'Festival of the Sixties' weekend at Butlin's, Barry Island, in the 1980's with friends Eddie and Sue Evans; Jet was one of the star acts on the bill.
Sitting in one of the bars, Mrs. B and Sue had taken autograph books, as the year before, (when we went with friends Eric & Frances Billett), made it obvious these star's of yesteryear didn't hide away, they were very accesible.
I noticed Jet Harris walk in and order a pint at the bar. Nodding in his direction and mentioning this to Sue and Mrs. B, by the time they had found autograph books and pen, he had downed the beer and gone.
Five minutes later he returned, so they hastily approached him for his autograph before he escaped again.
With another pint in hand, he sat down with us and bummed a cigarette.
He was nervous as he couldn't find his backing band. Black Cat Bones backed all of the solo stars like Jet, Wayne Fontana, Screaming Lord Sutch, etc; at events like this.
We had a quick chat, he told us he had a new album on sale which he'd recorded in a prison. This was still in the days of vinyl.
At those Butlin's weekends they have 3 venues with band's playing almost non-stop from Noon to 1am. You have to dodge and weave between the 3 to see your choice of the bands on offer. We were due to see Jet Harris anyway, as we liked his songs, well, they were instrumentals, like The Shadows, with his bass playing the main melody as mentioned above.
After smoking one of our cigarettes and drinking his pint a little slower, he said "cheerio, see you later at the gig," and away he went.
Onstage that evening, he gave us a nod and a smile of recognition, which the girls appreciated.
Our ladies found plenty of stars who signed their autograph books, and it's such a shame now that so many of them, like Jet, have passed on.
Gradually, those 'Festival's of the Sixties' will fade away as indeed the stars pass, so it's a good job we went to see them while they were still around.

Gold Lemmy Action Figure: Not too many weeks ago MHB's were asking where they could find the Lemmy action figure? It seemed as if the original had sold out.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MOTORHEAD-LEMMY-KILMISTER-7-FIGURE-GOLD-VARIANT-/260751037272?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cb5f91358
But after finding this on EBay it seems it sold so well they've made it in gold!
There are other sellers with it in stock, so just search and find one at a price suitable to you.

No UK Autumn Tour Dates as yet, but fanzine #90 went to press on Monday, and as history repeats itself, they should be announced at any time now, and thus I will have to print a flyer to include in the mailout.
This happens most years, and is due to the timing of both events.

Japanese MHB's Are OK: After the news saying phone and internet communication had been broken due to the quake, it was great getting an email from Shuhie Hasegawa saying he is OK. There are many more MHB's from Japan whom I hope are OK, too.
Our planet is a fragile place, and although mega-corproations and even the likes of us think we own it, we are no more than lodgers here on the surface, scratching an existance until it gets fed up with our antics, and boils us into a soup of ungrateful humanity.

Ryanair: Hadn't flown Ryanair until last year, and no one had told us about their (lack of) service. But the flights are cheap, and Brian Tawn sent this, which is brilliant.

Freed / The Red River Hogs: played my local Mr. Kyps venue last evening. A great gig which the body and soul were in dire need of the recharge. My old school buddy and Hogs' guitar/vocalist, Mike O'Hara, told me that if he hadn't listened to John Mayall and Eric Clapton's 'Bluesbreakers' and Cream's 'Fresh Cream' albums in my bedroom in our formative years, his life wouldn't have worked out quite how it has. Adequately flattered, it's great knowing that I have been influential.
But then Voodoo Vegas and American Dog have written songs inspired by the Burridge psychology, for which I am also grateful.

Motorhead On NBC Late Night With Jimmy Fallon: It happened in early February, but there are links to see/hear 'Ace Of Spades' and 'Get Back In Line' on the Message Board.

Tight But Deaf: There's a 'Find The Ball' competition in our Daily Echo every Saturday. It hasn't been won for a while, and the jackpot is £32,000. Mrs. B has had a go in the past, with no luck, so she thought she'd give it another try.
Rather than posting it, as the deadline is on Tuesday, I walked it to a local shop where they have a collection box for entries.
While there, a female customer asked the shopkeeper for 'A pair of medium black tights, please.'
They are kept behind the counter, and after a minute of stupidity, he placed a pack of medium black pens on the counter.'
'No,' she wailed, 'tights...tights, not pens!'
He put the pens back, and gave her pair of large black tights in a box.
'No,' she moaned again, 'medium; they're large!'
She looked at me and smiled, raised her eyes to the sky in exasperation, huffed her breath, and mouthed 'sorry.' Then, 'Why doesn't he keep them out here in the shop, then I could choose my own?'
Meanwhile I had put my entry into the box, so I shrugged and said; 'Perhaps they get pinched?'
'He's got stuff out here worth a lot more than a pair of bloody tights!' she said, angrily.
But I suppose the point was tights are easy to slip into a handbag than a bottle of wine or whatever.
She had the right goods, and paid for them. We walked out of the shop together.
'Sorry,' she said, 'how about if we put a leg each over our heads and go back inside and rob him for his cheek?' she laughed, as she walked one way, and I walked the other.
I thought stockings were called "Hold Ups," not tights!
