Amazon provide 'apps' on the page displaying the book to enable download to laptop, PC, and most portable devices like ipad, iphone, Blackberry, Android based kit, you name it, because although the Kindle is cool, it is not the be-all and end-all for download books - you can practically download to ANYTHING.
The Diary (and a great deal of my other books [crime thrillers etc]) are now priced at just UK 77 pence, Euros 0.89 and Dollars $1-19 - so now you can go crazy and read some great stories at a budget price in these hard times.
