Mrs. B and I went to see Chuck at Bournemouth Winter Gardens in the early 1980's, and he was quite a legend then, and it was one hell of a gig! We were in the front 3 rows, at one point, he walked to the edge of the stage, and strolled along looking every one of us in the eye, with that cute smile on his face.
Even then, he had a mid-set rest while his daughter, Nadine, sang a few songs. Nadine was no great shakes on vocals, and Chuck's return couldn't come quick enough.
A memorable evening seeing the man who many say gave birth to rock 'n' roll.
