Bloatermog Relapsed: Not many postings lately, Xmas, New Year, bitterly cold weather; and illness.
A cold / cough bug knocked out the Southampton show on the tour, but luckily, Exeter made up for it.
Wife, Jane, had the same bug, but we're not sure if it's because she had the flu jab, (they recommend it for nurses, which she is, and she's been OK with it for 8 or 9 years), but it saw her having 5 weeks off work to get over it. She didn't, though, really get over it properly, and every shift was a struggle up to, through and after Xmas and New Year; and she'd get home looking totally worn out; and was.
Early AM on Saturday she woke up freezing cold, uncontrollably shaking and with a severe pain under the rib cage. It needed urgent treatment and I phoned the doctor who told me to take her to A & E at Poole Hospital; this was at 03.30. After some tests and an examination they told her she had pluresey / pneumonia symptoms, prescribed some anti-biotics and told her to "go home and rest." So this is the reason she's not been herself lately - and now I know I can get her back fit again.
