Motorblog Another Light: Yes, still fired-up with Amy Jane's arrival, and Steve, Jane and I were subjects of a freak storm when we walked out of Poole Maternity on Monday evening after seeing her again. Never known rain like it, looked like each 'drop' was an egg-cup full; and we were almost instantly soaked to the skin; which might well have been erotic for Kim Basinger and Mickey Rourke in 'Nine And A Half Weeks,' but was just a pain in the arse for us.
Yesterday (Wednesday, as this Blog is based in America and is 8 hours backwards), I was floored, well, bed-ridden for the day with a sickness / headache bug, which, we were told by the doctor's, is rampant right now.
But another light came with a poem of mine being published in our local 'Free' magazine, 'The Lytchett Bay Post,' which is about this village of Upton. A copy is on its way to Sarmad to include on the site for you to, perhaps, have a giggle at?
I have quite a few written and some are with Jayne at the magazine for possible future publication? They are about Upton when I was a kid, and are, mostly, humourous, and the idea is to give folk's a giggle and maybe rekindle a few memories, or let new people to the village know what it was like here in the late 1950's / early 1960's.
